| Editorial Reviews: | | | | Timex gives its signature Ironman Triathlon multi-function, performance sport watch a sleek new look that's a great fit for both men and women. Featuring a full complement of athletic timing features and a striking profile, the Timex Triathlon Sleek T54281 has a black matte resin case and silver metallic top ring that's complemented by a uniquely styled black resin strap. It features three alarms that can be set for daily/weekday/weekend/weekly alarms, two time zones, an all-day white reflector display for easy reading even in direct sunlight, and water resistance to 100 meters. Sport timing functions include: - 100-hour chronograph with lap/split
- On-the-fly recall of lap or split
- Training log stores workouts by date, with best lap, average lap, and total segment time
- Total run format/synchro timer maintains total activity time (less time paused during workout) and overall running time
- Automatic interval repetition counter
- Forward or backward setting
- Built-in setting reminders
- Top pusher for easy access to lap and split
The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer. The Night Mode feature allows you to illuminate the Indiglo night-light for 3 seconds with any button press, regardless of the mode or function. | |

| | Since I used a Timex Triathon I love Timex sports watched. I wanted to give this a try. I like it too. It is lightweight and is good looking. The big numbers are easy to read. It is not as flat as I would like it. The screen indicators are awesome. This means that when I set the hour, on the corners small labels appear to remind me how to set up the time. Otherwise, I would have to try different buttons until I am able to adjust the hour/minute. This product is definitively 5 stars.
| | No problem's with the band, light died but timex replaced at no cost | |
| | Bought the watch 2 years ago for running/swimming. The backlight died and Timex sent me a prepaid postage box to return the watch. They sent me a new watch in the mail 2 weeks later and It's worked perfectly since. I love the backlight display.
| | | This is a great watch. I've been wearing an Ironman for years, mainly because of the simple operation. My only reservation is the band. It looks really great, and it's cool to wear (not a lot of sweat) but the band is prone to break right above the buckle where you bend it back to fasten it. I've replaced the watch 3 times since they changed to this style band. The watch itself is durable and long lasting, the non-user replaceable band is the only problem, although I've heard that you can send it back to timex and they will replace it for a fee. I've never done this, I have always just bought a new watch. Band lasts about 2-3 years in my experience. The fact that I've replaced it so many times tells you that I still think this is a great watch, even with the band issue.
| | | This watch is great. I especially like the interval training feature with it's simple interface to control 2 different intervals that can repeat or end. It's the whole reason I got this watch again after losing it.
| | Functional, inexpensive, and just what I needed. | |
| | I've tried more expensive Timex sports watches, including Triathlon watches that link to a heart-rate monitor, but what I really want is easy splits recall and durability. I've tried replacing batteries in other watches (because many stores will not replace batteries in water-proof watches, claiming they don't want to be responsibile for the loss of water-proof status) and found that my watch fails shortly thereafter. So I wanted a cheap watch that I wouldn't feel bad junking after the battery fails in a couple of years. Thus far, this watch fits the bill, and is so light that I barely notice it's there.
