| reminds me of a computer video camera from 15 years ago | |
| | I ordered this so that I'd have the same thing as my correspondent. Should have done some homework first. Quality of camera is very poor. Terrible in low light. Even with maximum settings the picture quality is only fair and not in focus. Awkward to control. (It was cheap, I admit but I will probably buy a much better camera and write this one off).
Compared to the video camera that came built-in on a 2-year-old Acer Aspire, the camera is way behind.

| | The mic is not the best but overall the camera is adequate. The software it uses to capture video and upload is bad, the audio and video don't match. I use movie maker and it is fine.
| | | The microphone has a very loud hum or buzz. There is no support for it, no warranty information, Microsoft site keeps leading me to pay for support. Don't purchase.
| | | It's a good product from Microsoft. Easy to configure and use. Only drawback is its mic which conflicts with the installed mic drivers. However, that can be adjusted by the volume settings. For home us this is good product.

| | This cam is not plug and play and sometimes even restarting your PC is not enough. Also disrupts other devices. Forget about this webcam.
