| months at gym -vs- one week with DVD | |
|  | I had been going to a circuit gym for a while so I *thought* I was working out. I bought this DVD to use on days when I can't get to the gym. I tried this DVD and then realized that I am NOT really getting that much of a workout at the gym. The day after my first workout, I was SORE!!! I found myself sucking wind and taking breaks here and there.
One week later, I can get through the level one workout without stopping. I am already seeing more progress in my shape than in months at the gym! My husband has been gone all week and he noticed a big difference. I'm tempted to cancel my gym membership and use the money I save to buy more of Jillian's DVDs. She is hardcore, but she really gives you a great workout! I love that she offers lots of encouragement on the DVD, too. Yeah, it's a DVD, but any kind of encouragement when you're feeling like you're going to die helps. :) I also love that she shows ways to adjust each level to better fit your ability.
| |  | The first time that I did level 1, I had to take a few breaks. I workout between 4 -5 times a week and thought I was in decent shape. This is a good workout and gets you in shape quick. By the 2nd time, I was able to do the entire workout and then proceed to level 2. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because there are a few things that affect my knees. It may be too much stress on the knees if you have knee problems. Other than that, I like the fact that it's only 27 minutes total and it gives me incentive to keep on doing it.

|  | I workout regularly and when I started this workout I didn't think I would really sweat. I was wrong! Jillian created a great workout that can be done in 20 minutes and I like that. In level 1 you start off doing jumping jacks. I do not enjoy working on the abs so I like that you only have to do 1 minute of ab work during each circuit. Jillian does a great job of keeping you working and the workout goes by fast.
| |  | I take a class once a week that I like. This dvd is great for at home. It's easy to follow and a great workout. It's as good as going to class.

|  | My lower body was sour next day so I thought it's a good thing but there was something else: my right knee was hurting a lot. I did everything exactly as Jillian was telling, avoiding "dangerous" poses, but it didn't stop my knee from injury. I couldn't walk properly for few days. So enjoy the video but be very careful not to stretch your knee joints too much.
