| | Fantastic music from a fantastic movie. Upbeat and enjoyable. Great ABBA tunes sung by great stars.
| | | I never saw the B'way version, I am sure the cast's were stellar...
I admit there are much better vocalist actors that could have been selected for these roles... but, I love these guys....I am very critical and discrening. In the movie theatre when I 1st heard Pierce sing I cringed initally. That being said, upon listening several times to this version, now I find I love his version of "When All Is Said And Done" It is just so darned Honest!
ABBA was never my cup of tea, however even I admit to really liking several of their catchy songs... I really love Meryl's versions of the songs she sings also...
If you love the film version, this soundtrack should be purchased as stand alone, to simply accompany that & not to replace the ABBA/B'Way versions you all love so well...

| | | This is the second movie CD soundtrack that I've ever purchased, and without a doubt the best representation of ABBA's music. Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried have the most beautiful voices and deliver the lyrics with appropriate emotional expression. I love every song on this CD and that's a first for me!!!
| | | DO NOT BUY THIS!! IF YOU DO, AND PLAY IT IN YOUR CAR, YOU'LL BE UNABLE TO STOP SINGING IT AND THEN EVERY NIGHT YOU WILL HAVE ONE SONG IN YOUR HEAD AND THEN WHEN YOU AWAKE YOU'LL HAVE ANOTHER TUNE IN THERE!!!!
